Another related point - the ACTUAL beer people in Mexico and Central America drink isn't Corona. Its a bunch of other far better breweries. If you order a Corona in Mexico you might as well wear a pink shirt with the word "GRINGO" on it.

Yeah, Miller Chill was created to compete with the leading Mexican beer (i.e. Coronoa) with the convenient addition of "lime" flavor.

I'll stick with Corona and fresh lime when I want something light and lime-y.

While I did not partake of the Miller Chill, I don't believe it is supposed to be brethren to Bud Ice. It seemed, instead, to be an attempt to be a "Mexican" beer (I use that term lightly); hence, the comparison to Tequiza, which was a previous attempt by a big brewery to somehow capture the Mexican market without actually knowing what they drink down there.

Is Bud Ice flavored? I assumed it was... magically colder.

It's a testament to the ready availability of interesting medium- and micro-brews at the local grocery that I haven't actually tried either of those. Is Miller Chill the same sort of notion as Bud Ice et al?

I concur. I sipped a bit, and it had a rather noxious aftertaste. I've never had Tequiza before, so I can't weigh in on the comparison.
