There is also a special serving device: the Kranz (wreath) of Koelsch. I had a lovely time in Koeln (Cologne) drinking this after we parted ways in Innsbruck. You drink the small glasses quickly so the waiters are always coming upstairs with full wreaths and going downstairs with empty ones.
